Kennedy Space Centre | Julie Taylor

Hello Magpies,

I’m back today sharing a second layout using the Simple Stories Say Cheese Tomorrow at the Park collection.

This collection is all about Tomorrow land in Disney’s Magic Kingdom but I choose to use it for a page about a recent visit to Kennedy Space Center. The rockets were what inspired this page & although a child-like image I think it tells the story perfectly.

Kennedy Space Center

There was an actual rocket launch while they were there so the 5.4.3.2.1. Blast Off! was just perfect!!

I added some inks, Salvaged Patina oxide ink, to the background using the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz cling stamps- Brushstrokes, these give you a mixed media look but without the mess. I added some stencilled dots in Mustard Seed oxide ink & drew more circles on the page.

I put my 3 photos at the bottom centre & added a central column, up the page to depict the rocket launching.

I topped the column off with the large smoke cloud out the Simple Pages page pieces, these are a bit larger & add more impact on your layouts.

I lightly stamped my numbers, starting down the bottom with the 5 & hand stitched over the stamping, something I regretted by the time I got into No 3!!!! but it was worth the effort in the end!

I then embellished around my clusters with ephemera, stickers & brads & added my title from the Foam Stickers pack & alphas out my stash.

Thanks for joining me today & I hope I have inspired you to use this collection. Don’t be fooled by the Disney connection as this could be used for lots of boy layouts who love rockets, cars & space!!

until next time,
