Hello Magpies.

That time of year is getting very near!!! Christmas!!! I’m working with the lovely Simple Stories Simple Vintage Holly Jolly, a full on happy, playful collection, with traditional colours & cute icons.

I choose to do my 1st layout on black cardstock. I love how it makes the colours pop & gives a bit of drama!!

I first added some white texture paste through a stencil which gave me an area to work on. I added some ink splatters in Speckled Egg & Lumberjack Plaid oxide inks, these came out more muted because of being on black but added a bit of colour.

I’ve then clustered together pieces from the bits & pieces, sentiment pieces, fussy cut pieces from the 6×8 paper pad & 6×12 chipboard to make my photo cluster.

I finished the layout with lots of white acrylic paint splatters.
