January with Simple Stories

Hi Everyone!
You know already that I am big fan of Simple Stories. I love every single collection. The same was with their newest collections like Love&Adore and Winter Wonderland or Happy New Year.
This year I started my project Life again. I had one year break because it was very stressful to me.  Sometimes I had no time or I was too lazy to do it. But this time I choose smaller size of album – 6×8′ so I hope it will be easier for me to stay on track. For the first 2 pages I used Simple Stories – Happy New Year – 3×4″ & 4×6″ Journaling Cards Paper. I didn’t have a very exciting New Year’s Eve… I was all working all day and the next day I had to go back into work again so me, my husband and our friends decided to have few drinks and play Monopoly and to be honest we all had great time!!! We didn’t even realize that it’s midnight, until we heard we heard the  fireworks outside 🙂
For Week 1 I used Simple Stories – 3×4″ Journaling Card Elements Paper from Love&Adore collection because on the 4th of Jan me and my husband celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. So the Valentines collection was perfect.
Then I made a layout.  My idea was to make Tic Tac Toe with photos and letters XOXO from Simple Stories – Love & Adore – Sealed with a Kiss Paper. I almost gave up cause I couldn’t find any photos of me & my hubby. 99% of our family photos are kids photo… I think you know what I mean 😉 But in the end I found some old funny photos me kissing my husband so I used them.
On the next layout I wanted to use all the hearts I found in the collection. Especially the ones from Simple Stories – Love & Adore – Bits & Pieces Die Cuts.

When I saw my old picture from the winter 1997 I knew that Simple Stories winter collection will be perfect. I really miss the real, cold and white winter like the one on the picture. I made the background more white&snowy using some gesso. Then I used pieces from Simple Stories – Winter Wonderland – 12×12″ Combo Sticker and Simple Stories – Winter Wonderland – 6×12 Chipboard Elements which I think perfectly match the climate of the photo.

My last layout I made only because my daughter ask me.   I think everyone knows Frozen… yeah Gabi loves Anna & Elza & Olaf as well. When she saw snowmen on Simple Stories – Winter Wonderland – 2×12″, 4×12″ & 6×12″ Elements Paper she wanted me to make something with Olaf and those snowmen. So I made a layout for her which she loves!!! And I hate 😉
