Indigo & Ivy part 2 | Giselle Homer
Hi again Magpies, I hope you’ve been finding lots of time to scrap during the summer holidays. My two new projects for this month include a layout and 4 greeting cards. Do you make your own cards? I’ve made all of mine for as long as I remember, I think my family and friends expect them now!
I started this layout by trimming the woodgrain paper and gluing it to the blue zig zag paper to leave a wide frame. I wanted to capture the seaside colours in the photo so the blues and pale browns from this collection were just perfect.

I triple mounted the photo onto dark blue papers and white cardstock, which extends to the left and glued it in place over the right edge of the woodgrain square.

Then I added a phrase tag and 3 word stickers on the left of the photo. I added a flower die cut from the embellishment pack and a few leaves that I fussy cut. There are lots of flowers, leaves and butterflies in the patterned papers so if, like me, you like fussy cutting this is a good collection.

I then added more word stickers and die cut flowers to the top right corner, with a gold heart and some enamel dots.

There are some lovely printed acetate words in this collection, so I chose one with that has a hint of light blue along the top and added it below the photo. I wrote the place name on a cardstock tag to add next to that. I finished the layout with some more enamel dots – I think I use these on every layout!
On to the greeting cards. I made four but there was lots of paper and embellishments left so I’m sure I could make quite a few more.

I used the square stickers, more die cut flowers, word stickers, tags and fussy cut leaves to embellish the cards. There’s lots to choose from!

Apart from the word ‘anniversary’ which I printed, all the other sentiment stickers and lots of chipboard words are included in the collection.

And if you’re stuck for what to use to make greeting cards for men and boys, these colours are just right. Even the flowers are mostly blue and light brown, so they’re not too girly!
So that’s it from me this month, I look forward to seeing some of your layouts and maybe you’ll make some cards too with this gorgeous collection.
Till next month, happy scrapping everyone,
