I hate gold!!!
Yes, I really do!!! I know that Gold is very trendy now. But for me it’s just very gypsy. All this golden pieces in everything make me very unhappy cause I can’t find anything what I like without golden accent!!! Wrrr… that’s why I decided to use it. Yes. Use the color which I actually hate. And you know what? It’s not so bad 😉 Gold made my projects very elegant and rich and very interesting.
This is what I chose for my projects.
Because school ends very soon I wanted to make something very special for Alex Teacher and Special Assistant. So I made 2 cards with a lot of flowers and embellishments. I used wooden texture of Crate Paper – Maggie Holmes Confetti – Jubilee Paper as a background.
To make my cards very dimensional I added Heidi Swapp – Hello Beautiful Planner – Photo Frames. Then I used butterflies from Heidi Swapp – Minc Foil Applicator – Minc 3D Butterflies… no I don’t have Minc machine but I think they are so cute that I just used them anyway.
Then I glued paper flowers. But I wanted my cards to be very flowery so I added some paper flowers and leaves from Maggie Holmes. To finish my cards I sadded some wooden star, diamond and heart from Crate Paper – Maggie Holmes Confetti – Wood Veneer Shapes.
Last month me and my best friend were celebrating our… 18th birthdays 😉 On this occasion we did some trip to hotel with spa to pamper ourselves a little bit. Because I took a lot of photos I had to scrapbook them of course.
My first layout is gentle and soft… this is how we felt after our 2hrs spa treatment 🙂
I made 4 rosettes from Crate Paper – Maggie Holmes Confetti – Fete Paper. I attached Crate Paper – Maggie Holmes Confetti – Tassels to them. I added some gold circles from My Mind’s Eye – Paper Goods – Vintage Confetti as well.
Second layout I wanted to look quiet party. I created garland with some party staff like wooden party hats from Crate Paper – Maggie Holmes Confetti – Wood Veneer Shapes, chipboard frames, stars, tassels and leather bows.
But I’m still not a big fun of Gold 😉
