Hey Little Magpie – June 2026 Embellishment Kit | Jackie Ashton

Hi Jackie here, Sometimes we all need to take a little time out, and this layout was the perfect way to document one of my favourite monthly treats — my relaxing facial appointment. I created this scrapbook page using the Hey Little Magpie June 2026 Embellishment Kit ,  along with the gorgeous Simple Stories Take Note Collection, and I absolutely loved how easily everything coordinated together.

 

The beautiful wood veneer title “relax” instantly became the main focus of my layout and perfectly captured the feeling I wanted to tell through my page. My monthly facial is one whole hour dedicated just to me — a chance to switch off, recharge and simply relax.

To begin the layout, I added stencil details and stamped some scripted wording onto white cardstock to create a soft mixed media background.

 

I then added a strip of patterned paper down the full length of the left-hand side before layering several patterned papers together behind my 3×4 photograph. I used 3D foam pads under the photo and layers to give the page added dimension and texture.

There is also a perfect Flair in the kit

One of my favourite additions from the June 2026 kit was the lovely trim, which I placed down the left side of the layout for extra detail. I also tucked a journaling card from the paper collection to the right-hand side of my photograph before adding the wood word along the lower edge to help draw everything together.

I really love all the little bits and pieces included in this month’s kit and how beautifully they coordinate with the collection. They made creating this page so easy and enjoyable.
