After a recent snow fall here in the UK,  we headed out for a gentle walk around my local park, with my phone in hand, ready to capture a few photos.

Using the Hey Little Magpie – January 2026 Embellishment Kit,  to help document this photograph.

I started by adding layers of patterned papers underneath my photograph, distressing all the edges. Adding a paper doily beneath the photo, adding a gentle, lacy texture that instantly softens the layout and gives it that extra hint of winter charm. To really make my photo pop, I used 3D foam pads to lift the layers and create subtle dimension.

The gorgeous wooden word “Winter Walk” was the obvious choice for my title. It sums up the whole story of the page perfectly and adds a lovely natural element that ties in beautifully with the outdoor theme.

Using one of the wooden phase pieces to the top of my photograph and tucking the  ribbon tabs to the left side of my photograph.

Down the left-hand side of my photo, I added the beautiful white pom-pom trim along with some coordinating ribbon.

Keeping  the rest of the embellishments to a minimum, allowing the photo and textures to do most of the talking. To finish, I added a sweet snowflake charm, letting it dangle gently from the layout for a delicate, whimsical touch.
