Here – Vicki Boutin Fernwood | Sheena Rowlands
Hi there Sheena here again .
Today I am sharing my latest layout featuring the wonderful Vicki Boutin Fernwood collection. The products in this kit are so versatile and I am really enjoying creating with them.
Here.
For this page I wanted to use the Inspiring stamp set from the range and thought it would be ideal teamed with the Gather patterned paper which has the wreath shape on it. To bulk out the wreath I fussy cut ferns from the 12×12 and 6×8 Fernwood patterned paper, green leaves from the Open Air patterned paper and a few pink flowers from Into the Woods patterned paper.
Using a dark grey ink I stamped 3 different flowers and 1 set of leaves, repeatedly on some Vicki Boutin foundation paper. Using Oxide inks – Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Speckled Egg, Stormy Sky, Shabby Shutters and Bundled Sage I coloured these in, mixing colours to suit my photos. Then I fussy cut them out. The flower centres were coloured yellow with more Oxide ink in Scattered Straw.
Using thereat I layered the fussy cut flowers and leaves creating a natural look. Both photo were matted on Fernwood packaging card and adhered into place. A small tag was added to hold a little journalling and blue berries from the die cut pack were slated in to add more of this colour.
From the stamp set lots of little flowers were added around the wreath using the Tattered Rose and Speckled Egg Ink Oxides to finish off the page. If the flowers had been coloured using different inks the whole layout could look completely different.
I hope this provides some inspiration for you and here is the youtube link to the process video, please share your creations with us on our Facebook group.
Till next time x
