Here & There by Crate Paper
Hi Magpies, hope you are all well and looking forward to half term and maybe getting out and about and taking loads of photographs ready to scrap. Well the new collections are coming into the store and don’t you just love them … I know I do.
So when my box of new goodies arrived the other day, I couldn’t wait to get struck in and get creating, I choose the new collection from Crate Paper – Here & There collection for my blogpost.
I have no qualms in saying that I got all of this collection, and some of it twice, as I knew I would love it.
My first layout is a 9×12 size for my Paris album, I started by distressing the background with Tim Holtz Oxide Inks – Broken China, it great that the shop are now stocking them. I used the packaging technique on white cardstock, and added some details using embossing paste and a mask.
I cut the Crate Paper – Here & There – Foreigner paper, and a strip of Crate Paper – Here & There Tour Guide paper, adding a punched 6×1 inch strip from the Crate paper – Here & There – 6×6 pad.
After placing my photographs across the middle of the page, I add tags, and bits and pieces from Crate Paper Here & There – Ephemera pack to the top right hand side of the pages.
I used the globe and striped arrow from the Crate Paper Here & There – puffy sticker sheet, and added word strips from the Crate Paper – Here & There Puffy Accent Thickers.
For the title I used Crate Paper – Here & There – Rose Gold Thickers that came with this collection, and when removing them from the sheets, found that they are a two in one design – so I used the out-lined border.
I also added a few stamp phases from the Crate Paper Here & There – Roller Stamp to the background.
My 2nd layout, Epic Fail – I wanted to document that not all holiday plans go smoothly. My trip to New York in 2015 had one of my regrets of the holiday and that I couldn’t walk across Brooklyn Bridge. I added some hidden journalling.
A simple mat block of patterned paper, Crate Paper – Here & There Scenic View Paper, Crate Paper – Here & There – Traveler Paper, Crate Paper – Here & There – Tour Guide Paper
I added a matt of patterned papers from Crate Paper – Here & There 6×6 pad and used one of the envelopes from Crate Paper – Here & There – Ephemera Envelopes, added a tag from my stash and added my hidden journalling.
For the title I used the Thickers from this collection and used the solid letters as well as just the outlines.
Finishing the layouts with a flair badge, chipboard, puffy accent words and die cuts.
My 3rd layout – Explore – as I was documenting my ‘travel bucket list’ I decided to use Crate Paper – Here & There – Tour Guide paper as my background and added a snapchat photograph, which I amounted onto some patterned paper from the 6×6 pads.
I used one of the envelopes from this collection, and added a list of places I would like to visit some day, added a Crate Paper – Here & There – Rub on to the envelope, and using stickers from Crate Paper – Here & There Accent Sticker Sheet
I fuzzy cuts some of the badge type motifs from the 6×6 pad and added them around the page.
I added a few chipboard pieces and puffy word accents.
My final layout for this month, I did used a photographs of James and I returning from a trip to Barcelona.
I added yellow ink to the background using the packaging technique and a simple layering of die cuts and stickers.
That all from me this month, please share your layouts over on our Facebook page we would love to see what you are doing with the new collections.
Till next time
