Hello Today, Simple Stories | Julie Taylor
Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today sharing 2 layouts using the lovely, bright collection, Hello Today from Simple Stories. It’s a daily, monthly, yearly collection, perfect for planning & scrapbooking alike. It has a page for every month & numbers & icons to document every occasion.
Here & Now
For my first layout I added some mixed media to a piece of white cardstock & added some black stamping. I then layered up some papers out the 6×8 paper pack, finishing at the top with the B-side of the June paper.
I added some trims, a zip & some twine & a cluster using chipboard stickers, die cuts & puffy stickers. I then came down the page, on the right, adding my photo cluster with a chipboard frame, die cuts, stickers & decorative brads. this collection is full of fabulous embellishments so plenty to choose from.
Good Vibes
For my second layout I wanted to focus on the lovely arrow stencil that comes in this collection. I inked through it, onto white cardstock, using colours out the striped paper & then hand sewed the small arrows in co-ordinating threads.
I made an embellishment strip from the striped paper, lace & ribbon & added that, down the centre & my photo cluster to the right adding chipboard stickers, die cuts & an exclusive HLM flair badge.
I finished the layout by adding to black cardstock & sewing with a couple of messy machine stitched lines.
Thanks for joining me today & I’ll be back later in the month with more layouts using this collection.
Until next time,
