'Hello Gorgeous' – need I say more?

‘Hello Gorgeous’ is the super lush range by Heidi Swapp and if ever a name summed up a collection perfectly, first prize would have to go to this one!
Although designed to be used in conjunction with the memory planners, I thought that they were way to pretty to be ‘shut away in a book’ and so decided that I would use them as the basis of my layouts for this month…

‘Just be your beautiful self’

Having seen fellow team mate Niki’s recent blog post using a Heidi Swapp stencil, I purchased a couple of them myself but had yet to use them! Typical me!
The base card stock was gessoed, then the screen print applied. The border effect was created using the leftover screen ink rather than waste it! A mixture of mist and acrylic was used to create the textured ‘Tiffany blue’ background.

A selection of the ‘Hello Gorgeous’ pocket cards was arranged geometrically and stitching detail added a finished touch.
Lastly, I decided to learn how to use my Fuse tool to create a couple of sequin shaker pockets – I won it recently in a raffle at my local crops, but it too had yet to materialise from its box! Wow, what a great tool it is…. my only regret is not having used it sooner!

‘Silliness’

I’ve never been a lover of wash tape – to be honest I couldn’t really see the point of purchasing a roll of the same patterned design, only to use it a could of times and be left with the majority of the reel left! However, I’m loving all the collections that are offering 6″ pieces of a selection to co-ordinate with the collection and I now so get what all you washi fanatics love about it too! I used a selection of the ‘Hello Gorgeous’ wash tape to edge the top of this layout, along with a election of the pocket stickers.

How cute are those Crate resin hearts from their Valentine collection?

Lastly the title was simply one of the Heidi Swapp acetate words.

‘Happiness is you’

Such a cute photo, my Mum, my youngest step-daughter and me!
The colours in the ‘Hello Gorgeous’ range are so diverse… from pinks and black to gold and tones of teal, it simply is a stunning range!

What will we all do when gold is no longer in fashion in the scrapbooking world?

I had already cut the title using my silhouette – the width of it was perfect with the photo.
Whilst I do use my silhouette, it was another purchase that I was apprehensive to initially use!
So if I’m going to make a New Years resolution for 2016, I think it should be to ‘buy, then immediately try’
