Heidi Swapp – Set Sail | Part Two | Amy Kattenbelt

Hello Magpies, Amy here with a second layout using the “Set Sail” collection by Heidi Swapp.

Instead of using white cardstock for my background I decided to switch it up and used the B side pf the patterned paper called “Sailboats Black“.

I cut a 9″ circle from the B side of paper called “Dark Shells“. I distressed the edges to hide my inaccurate hand cutting! I then stitched it to the centre of my background paper using my machine. Again to hide the fact my stitched circles were wobbly, I went around the circle about 4 times!

I layered some of the larger tags from the “Tags” paper behind my two 3×4″ photos. I added some rope (a charity shop find in my own stash) to the tags.

I then added some die cut ephemera and cut aparts from the photo cluster. I added a yellow subtitle.

I used the Alphabet Thickers from the collection to create my long title and date. They are beautiful blue ombre puffy stickers. I placed my title around the large circle and love how it looks.

Thanks for coming to take a closer look at how I created this layout. I will be back on the blog in a few days to share two more layouts with this awesome collection. Take Care,
