Heidi Swapp mash-up!

Hey Magpies, Rachel back with my second post about Heidi Swapp! I picked the Wolf Pack, Color Fresh and Emerson Lane collections to work with this month and I mixed them all up a bit because they all work really well together.

My first layout focuses mainly on Wolf Pack but I did mix in some of the others too. I used the Woodland paper for my circle and the Woodsy paper for the striped banner. I also added in one of my favourite papers, the Emerson Lane Sweet Nothings paper with the lovely yellow stripe. I dotted some Nuvo Crystal Drops around and about. I used two of the amazing Embossed Stickers and they are amazing. My title uses one of the lush gold Puffy Word Stickers from Color Fresh and some older Thickers from Paige Evans.

Next up I do have a bit of a mash-up LO! I started out with the Emerson Lane, Classic Paper which is a classi Heidi Swapp design on one side and a classic Heidi pink. It’s lush but I decided to use the reverse side which is a big old black and white stripe. I even loved the manufacturer strip at the bottom of the page, so I kept it! It was a bit pale though and I usually try and put darker colours at the bottom of a page to help with balance so I added an extra piece of cardstock and some black & white striped washi tape.

Behind my photo I layered up a lot of leftover scraps from bits I’ve been working with and also some papers from the 6×6 Color Fresh Paper Pad. I also have some of my favourite Sweet Nothings paper in there too, it’s such a good yellow stripe and adds a lush pop of colour easily. For my title, I used Phrase & Icon Chipboard Thickers from Dear Lizzy, It’s All Good. The colours were perfect for this LO! I embellished with some various bits and bobs from the Colour Fresh Die Cut Ephemera pack, Emerson Lane 6×12 Stickers and some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

These last 2 layouts are actually ones I did way back in February so you may have seen them if you’re friends with me on FB and I shared them there but I don’t remember if I actually did share them or not! I thought I’d add them in here cause they’re both made with Color Fresh and also a bit of old stash from my hoard!

This first one uses Color Fresh paper from the 6×6 Paper Pad and a whole lot of scraps that were on my desk. I do love to poke a strip of paper in behind to add a pop of colour and interest, especially a black & white stripe, that’s always been a favourite of mine. My title is super old Thickers and I embellished with really old Vicki Boutin Thickers but there is a new Vicki Boutin collection in the store and there’s some new Chipboard Accent Thickers which look very versatile and usable.

My last LO uses one of my favourite Color Fresh papers the Fine Line Paper, check out those colours on the bottom of the sheet, so lush! I simply bunged a sheet from the 6×6 Paper Pad on and plopped a photo on top. I do this a lot, I love the 6×6 and 6×8 paper pads cause they make, making a LO so quick and easy, the design above is exactly the same as this one below, I do it all the time!

My title is older Vicki Boutin Thickers and then I just used a whole bunch of stuff from the Color Fresh Die Cuts Ephemera pack. I found this ephemera pack was really easy to use, so easy, I bought a second pack of it!

So I hope you enjoy what I made with the Heidi Swapp collections. There is a new one in the shop as well, Winter Wonderland. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a Heidi Christmas collection! She’s always been one of my favourite designers and I’ve always found her products really easy to use and mix together. Heidi rocks! See you next month Magpies, I am working with the Crate Paper All Heart collection in September because I decided after seeing it being used a lot, I loved it! It was a slow burner with me but I love the collection and can’t wait to share my creations with you in September! See you then Magpies xXx
