Heidi Swapp | Art Walk | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies,
It looks as though summer is finally here so I hope you’ve been enjoying the sun and getting lots of photo opportunities! (It’s good to be let out again after lockdown!)
Today I’m sharing my last layout using Art Walk from Heidi Swapp and I’m using one of my favourite photos, taken 5 years ago. I may have scrapbooked it before but no worries, I love it!
The main focus of this layout is the large cut file which I thought would be perfect to backfill with the Blues paper, which is a soft mix of blues and a little pink.
I glued the cut file onto a piece of blue textured cardstock, which I then glued to another paper from the collection. I added photo corners from the ephemera pack to the top of the layout.
I backed my photo with white cardstock and added some yellow paper for interest. I cut some tiny clouds to lay along the lower edge and used word stickers from the collection to the right of the photo.
Hey Little Magpie has a free downloadable file with a variety of journalling shapes, so I used one of them to add the location of the photo. Check them out in the link I’ve added below this post, they’re well worth having and you can print them in colours to match your layouts!
My title is from my own stash but there is a selection of pre-made titles in the ephemera pack. I added some gold embellishments and some white enamel dots between the little clouds.
Don’t forget to share your layouts on our Facebook page, there’s a great selection of papers for summer photos in the shop. Until next month, Happy Scrapping everyone!
