Happy Place

Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today & firstly just want to wish you all a very happy new year. This month I’ve chose to work with the lovely new collection by Fancy Pants Designs Happy Place, a great colourful collection to scrap you out of these wet, dreary days.
I chose to scrap in a new size this month, 9×12. I brought myself one of the lovely Studio Calico 9×12 D-ring albums for Christmas & must say I’m loving scrapping this size.
My first layout ‘Sweet Freckles’ was done on white cardstock which I inked through a stencil & added a few drops of white mist. I cut various strips of paper from the 6×6 paper pad & layered them over each other at the top of the page before sewing them down, I added my title, using the alphas in the collection, below that & again sewed that down. All I added to the photo was a couple of tags I made from the 6×6 pad & a couple of labels keeping it simple.


My second layout ‘Hello Beautiful’ is again done on white cardstock & this time I cut a number of different sized triangles & stitched them down, I made a photo cluster for behind my photo & added a few bits from the die cut ephemera pack. I half embossed the wood veneer ‘hello’ & added the beautiful puffy sticker. I finished the layout with a few puffy hearts & triangles.



My third layout ‘Together is Best’ is done on the B-side of the origami club paper, I added a strip of good day paper down the centre & added all my embellishments on that, die-cut labels, die-cut ephemera & puffy stickers. Again I embossed half the wood veneer title & added that above my photo which I matted with paper from the 6×6 pad.


My last layout ‘ My Plus One’ is done on the lovely all positive paper, which gave me the idea for my title. I inked the centre of the paper & added my photo cluster to the right hand side & added a few of the die-cut labels under that. The title is made up using the alphabet & number set & a few bit from the die-cut ephemera pack was all that was needed to finish it off.
