Happy Heart | Simple Stories Heart Strings | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, Happy New Year, I’m starting the month off with a bright & colourful 12×12 layout using the beautiful Heart Strings collection from Simple Stories. It’s full of pinks & teal blues which is very much my go to colours.

My idea was too make the most of the word strips from the cardstock stickers, don’t know about you guys but I always seem to have lots left over. Alongside those I used some of the big words from the ‘Sentiment Bits & Pieces’ pack.

Using the ‘QT Pie’ patterned paper as my background, & the lines to guide me I placed strips of wording on the diagonal starting from the top left corner to the bottom right, leaving around a third of the background blank within the middle this was so my photo would stand out & not get lost amongst all the wording. Every piece of wording I adhered using foam tape to add dimension to my page.

I then added my landscape black & white photo to the centre & framed it with florals from the ‘Floral Bits & Pieces’ pack.
