Happy Days – Cocoa Vanilla – Happy Days Collection – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone ! It’s Wendy here sharing my first layout for July and this month I’m using Cocoa Vanilla Happy Days Collection. This is a gorgeous super bright Summer Collection.

Recently I was in Vietnam for a wedding and we had the opportunity to travel around a bit too, this collection has all the right colours for the brightness and vibrancy of Vietnam. As we had been on a bike ride around a small island the Die Cut Ephemera containing a bicycle was just perfect for these photos. I chose to place the bicycle centrally at the top of the page and add the Happy Days die cut underneath as a title for the layout. There is a 12×12 paper Definitive paper(full of words) and I fussy cut the AWESOME and attached it below as it was such an amazing day.

I then chose to use a die cut frame from the ephemera and used sticky fixers to give dimension to the photo behind it. I then added a selection of floral die cuts and fussy cut the Enjoy the Ride and bicycle from the 12×12 Feel Good paper as a cluster to the left of the left photo. The two flags in the die cut ephemera also had the perfect words so I tucked one in at the top of each photo. I added a small tab and fussy cut a butterfly from the 12×12 Feel good paper.

I added the second photo on the right and proceeded to make another cluster to the side using the ephemera and floral ephemera again. I also added one of Sarah’s fabulous canvas flair badges.

To balance the layout I attached the second flag and added another fussy cut butterfly.

Having basically created the layout I decided to trim the white card and add a border . I gutted the 12×12 Flutterby paper and attached the white card to it. I then fine lined in black pen around the edge.

To finish the layout off I added some gold splatters over the layout.
