Happy Days are here.

Hi there Magpies, Sheena here again x
Today I’m sharing with you 2layouts created using My Minds Eye – Happy Days. When I saw this Happy Days range in the HLM shop I knew I had to have it as the colours are so me. The mix of blues, greens and teals with pops of pink have a lovely summery vibe which is great to work with whilst the weather is dull and grey.
Obsessed.

When I saw the Happy Days – Glad Garden patterned paper I loved the repeating flower pattern. It reminded me of my love for all things Orla Kiely, particularly her handbags, so they seemed the perfect thing to document with this paper.
I fussy cut columns of flowers from the paper and added stitched details to the centres of some to add texture before adding them on foam to the reverse side of the same paper.

I added light splashes to my white cardstock and when dry added the flowers down the right side after distressing the edges. On the left I added two smaller strips of paper plus a tag from a handbag plus two chipboard ones. The photo was matted on tissue and the titles are from the Happy Days mixed bag of die cuts.

Goals.
If I hadn’t seen the “Goals” sticker in the Happy Days – planner sticker set, then layout probably wouldn’t have been made.

I’d mentioned to a few friends that I’d planned to make some small changes to my life this year so with the Happy Days – 3×4 journalling cards I wanted to turn them into a layout so I could keep referring back.
I chose the happy days 3×4 cards I liked the best and arranged them on white cardstock. I lightly drew around them in pencil then added watercolour paint to cardstock in similar colours to the journaling cards.

When the cardstock was dry I added the journalling cards on foam pads. Then my typed goals plus numbers  and shapes from the Happy Days – mixed bag of die cuts. I finished off with the Goals sticker and some small alphas to create the title.

I’ll be back later this month with more layouts using My Minds Eye – Happy Days. Do stop by our Facebook page for inspiration, conversation and challenges.
Till next time x
