Happy Day, Spellbinders Just Sayin’ | Julie Taylor
Hello Magpies & welcome back to the blog.
Julie back again today & I’m sharing another layout using the Spellbinders Just Sayin’ collection from Kelly Bangs. This is my 3rd layout now & I’m loving using it, really bright & fun & makes for a happy page.
I went with a birthday theme for this one. I first added some stencilling, top left & coming down to the bottom right, using Kitsch Flamingo oxide ink through Arden Creative Studio Timeless Quatrefoil stencil.
This just gives a bit of added interest to an otherwise blank page. I cut various strips of patterned papers & folded them & cut them down to the size I wanted. I glued these in a strip, horizontally across the page making a banner.
In-between the papers I tucked in some trims, out my stash, to give extra texture.
I placed the photo onto a fussy cut clipboard & added just off centre over the strips & decorated around it using some die cuts.
Using the April Embellishment Kit I threaded some of the twine & sewed through some buttons, out my stash, along the top of the banner, adding in a few sequins to add a fun feel.
I then added all the extras, more sequins, tag & charm, chipboard stars & flowers & bow out the embellishment kit.
I have really loved using this collection & have lots left to mix in with other stash.
Thanks for joining me & I’ll be back next month with another collection.
Until next time,
