Grand Adventures San Francisco – 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Everywhere -Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here with my first layout for May and this month I am using 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Everywhere. This is such a gorgeous Travel Collection and with most of us venturing back on holiday it is perfect to use for documenting your trips. I have been waiting for some of the Travel Collections as I went for a week to San Francisco last November and wanted to document out trip. As soon as I saw this Collection I knew it would be perfect.
This Collection comes with a large pack of Geo chipboard frames which I chose and found there were plenty in the pack in all different colours and sizes. I used the largest white frame and used an orange distress oxide to colour it to coordinate with the colours in the Collection but also to make it stand out against the white card stock. I created the background using the latest Vicki Boutin stencil from Where to Next Collection, the stencil comes in a pack of three called World traveller. I used the same orange distress oxide but only coloured it lightly so it appears a lighter tone. I made a small cluster for the Geo tag using pieces from the page Collection Cluster kit. This kit comes with several die cuts and examples of how to group them to create clusters on a page. They were all gorgeous but I decided to create my own embellishment clusters using the pieces. I printed a 4×4 square photo and then made it into a circle to fit into the centre of the Geo tag. I also added the chipboard Right here Right now under the photo and a die cut camera.
To each side of the photo I created two more small clusters using more of the die cuts and also cutting some tags using my own tag and world globe dies.
I was pleased with how the layout was taking shape but felt I had a lot of white space above and below the Geo Tag so looked through the 12×12 papers I had chosen and found the Airmail Artistry paper had a border top and bottom of it which I fussy cut and used on the layout. I then added another smaller chipboard Geo Tag which I backed in one of the papers and added some more Die Cuts.
At the bottom border I used a chipboard element and die cut another World globe .
If you haven’t considered this Collection it is well worth a look as it has so many choices of pieces to use .
Until next time … Happy Scrapping!
