Good Vibes – Pinkfresh Studio – Keeping it Real – Part 2 – Wendy Meffan

Hi everyone, I’m back again with two more layouts from Pinkfresh Studio Keeping it Real Collection. I’m now starting to document our gradual easing from lockdown and these photos were our first night out in the pub with friends. It felt so good to be out and almost normal although it was freezing cold! I used the 12×12 A Little Chaos Paper as the background as it was a light contrast to the colour of the houses. 

I am a great lover of houses and buildings on scrapbook paper and when I saw the 12×12 Adulting paper and saw all the little shops and cafes on it I knew it would be a great choice as we had just ventured out! I fussy cut most of the sheet and then chose all the cafes as much as possible . I played around with them on the page until I was happy with their position

 

I matted both of the photos with papers from the 6×6 paper pad and distressed the edges. As I had two layers I used sticky fixers between them to give more dimension. I added ephemera to each side of the photos .

Finally I added the puffy phrase stickers in the gaps on the page, along with a couple of puffy hearts.

 

Layout 2  Isabella Plantation

This layout is completely different to the first one and I wanted to use all the beautiful floral ephemera in the collection. I do like pretty floral papers and the colours in this collection were gorgeous. Having just been to a botanical garden and photographed all the gorgeous azaleas the collection was perfect for this matching beautifully. I gutted the 12×12 Deep Breath paper to make a border for the layout. I then added some mixed media using some Prima pastel watercolours.

I then cut 2 and 3/4″ squares from the rest of the Deep Breath paper and used both sides. I also used the 12×12 Big Mood paper and then arranged the squares just off centre down the page. I distressed the edges of each square. I matted one photo on paper from the 6×6 paper pad and the other on 12×12 Reality Check cut apart sheet and positioned them on the squares.I then added some floral ephemera around them and also some basic ephemera.

I fussy cut 4 tabs from the 12×12 Real Life paper and positioned two of them around the photos and the other two on the opposite side to balance the LO. I added floral ephemera around each tab.

I also added a small Bramblefox arrow perspextive to the bottom left cluster.

For my title I cut the ‘im’ off the ‘imperfect’ puffy phrase sticker to make the title This is Perfect. I then used the mini alphabet thickers to write Isabella Plantation for a sub title.
