Good Times Scrapbook Layout – Simple Stories Take Note Collection – Wendy Meffan

This month I am using Simple Stories Take Note Collection and here is my first scrapbook layout of the month documenting a 60th birthday celebration with friends.

I gutted the 12×12 Make it Count paper, and used it as a border. I cut the 12×12 cardstock down by 1cm on two sides.  I chose to use three photos for my layout and sized them to fit in the size of a tag from the tag sheet. I used two tags from the 12×12 tag sheet and created my third using them as a template. I adhered the photos to them and then played around until I was happy with position on the page. I placed two towards the left of the page and the third over to the right leaving a space between. I though this was the perfect place to put the title. I used a foam sticker for this.

I embellished around each of the tags using the  floral ephemera and office ephemera. I also added some decorative brads around each tag. I then used some red twine from a previous HLM embellishment kit and connected it through all the tags.

Finally I created a cluster which I added to the top of the layout using chipboard , stickers and ephemera.
