Golden Days by Fancy Pants Designs
Hi all, Jackie here with my blogpost for this month, I decided to use the lovely collection from Fancy Pants Designs, Golden Days. I love the autumnal tones of this collection and it was another one that I’d over looked in the store, but again one I’m so glad I added to my basket as I just loved it.
All my photographs this month were taken on the same day, but they all look so different with this lovely collection.
For my first layout, Today – I kept the layout very simple but used a lot of the embellishments that are with this collection.
For the background I used the Fancy Pants Designs – Sweater Weather Paper and added a 4 inch strip of Fancy Pants Designs – Favourite Scarf Paper.
Then using a selection of papers from the Fancy Pants Designs – 6×6 pad, tags from the Fancy Pants Designs – Decorative Tags, Acetate Ephemera Die Cuts, Puffy Stickers.
For the title I used Freckled Fawn – Acrlic Words – Today
I also added some Simple Stories – Word Label Stickers
Make a Wish
I did a 12 x 9 layout for this one, and again I used a selection of papers from the 6×6 pad to layer under my photograph and added Freckled Fawn – wood veneer feathers, Hey Little Magpie Flair Badges,
Fancy Pants Designs – Leaf Paperclips
I lightly stamped on the background paper, using the Fancy Pants Design – Clear Stamp Set.
I also added stamped on some the patterned paper using a few of the PinkFresh studio Clear stamp sets
So Grateful for You
I cut a leaf design using my Silhouette Cameo and then added strips of paper from the 6×6 pad to the background.
I layered the photographs onto a selection of papers from the 6×6 pad, adding embellishments from the Ephemera Die Cut pack, puffy sticker sheet
I cut the title on my Silhouette Cameo using a sheet from the 6×6 pad.
For my final one this month and this year,
Birds of a Feather
I just had to scrap this photograph of me and my fellow HLM Teamies, Sam & Sheena at our first event as Birds of a Feather, in November 2016. The photographs was taken by Rubina Latif which just captured us perfectly on a fantastic day. This photographs was also scrapped by Julie, earlier this month here.
For the top paper, I used a 5 inch strip of Pink Paislee – Moonstruck – No. 12, which I added some white paper over the top to tone the colour down. then I layered under the edges a strip from
Fancy Pants Designs – Favourite Sweater Paper; Crate Paper – Heart Day – Gold Foiled Heart Vellum; Simple Stories – The Reset Girl – Ready, Set, Reset paper
I did start by distressing the background, but as you can see, I managed to cover the majority of it up.
And then I just added selection of bits and pieces from the ephemera pack, puffy stickers, and some mini word labels, as stated above.
I hope you like what I’ve done with this collection and even though we are in the middle of the Christmas festivities, please remember this lovely collection for your autumnal photographs.
I would like to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
See you all in 2017
