Girl Squad in Action
Hi there x Sheena here again x
For my post this month I chose to design with the Pebbles – Girl Squad range. To be honest they are not my “go to” manufacterer but I really liked the fun feel of this range plus the gorgeous Girl Squad phrase thickers and once I started working with it I found it really easy to use.
Beautiful
For my first page I went with the lovely pinks & florals this Girl Squad range has, adding a little black with some machine stitching to add as a contrast. The photos feature my Daughter when she would wear pink as part of her wardrobe. To continue the flower theme I die cut some flowers from felt scraps in complimentary colours. Finishing off with puffy stickers, enamel dots & sticker leaves.
# Girl Squad
For this page featuring my Daughter & friends at a Festival, I wanted to move away from the pink cute girlyness of this range & was pleased to find lots of teals, yellows & blues to use. Using ink I added some colour to my white cardstock then sprinkled it with a little gold mist before laying out my photos, ephemera pieces, stickers etc in a pleasing pattern, trimming some and raising others on foam before decorating further with puffy stickers.
& Create
For my third page this month I chose a photo of Birds of a Feather with Paige Taylor Evans, our first Guest Designer. I used Girl Squad Darling paper as my background, then added texture paste through a stencil. I wanted the texture paste to be different colours so instead of adding colour to it, I painted over it when it was dry with water colour paints. I love the effect & will definitely do it again. Using the colours from the photograph I added journalling cards & papers from the girl Squad 6×6 pad. I added a thin line of gold paint to each to help lift them off the background.
Please take a look at this great range which is still all in stock in the shop & we would love to see what you make with it over on our Facebook group.
Till next time x
