Getting cute with Heritage | Julie Taylor

Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today, sharing 2 layouts using the lovely Maggie Holmes Heritage. I’ve always loved Maggie Holmes collections as I find them timeless & love how each collection works together.

Some kind of wonderful

My first layout is done on a Heidi Swapp paper as the background, Emerson Lane True Stories & happens to be in the sale at the moment!! I added a touch of mixed media, to the background, using inks & stamps & built my layout from the middle going out.

I added 2 smaller photos & 1 larger one & put them all on paper matts.

I fussy cut some of the flowers off the Perennial paper & tucked those in around the photos.

A touch of chipboard & one of the gorgeous wax seal stickers finished the page.

You are everything

On my second layout I used this large photo of a beautiful sleeping baby. I chose to make it this large to add impact to the page. I first mounted it on a couple of patterned papers & positioned it on the top left hand side adding a small cluster to the top corner.

I put a vellum envelope & a couple of butterflies, on the right, so her mom can add her own journalling.

I then set about adding all the ephemera at the bottom by first hanging some bits off the twine & adding all the rest over & under these pieces.

I hope you have enjoyed my layouts & ramblings today

until next time, happy scrapping
