FRIGHT NIGHT with Crate Paper Hey Pumpkin | Niki Rowland

Helllooooo! It’s Niki here again today with more Halloween layouts! I absolutely adore Halloween scrapbooking. It’s such fun and allows me to step away from my usual style and pushes me out of my comfort zone a bit.

I am using Crate Paper Hey Pumpkin collection this month and I had the 12×12 papers, the Chipboard elements, the Black & Holographic Silver Foil Foam Thickers, and the die cut Ephemera.

For this Fright Night layout, I took two sheets of Hey Pumpkin patterned paper and cut them into diagonal quarters. I then positioned alternate pieces onto my layout. I love how this background turned out…and for once a layout of mine is not on a white cardstock background!! Go me!

Becuase my background was quite busy, I kept the remainder of my layotu fairly simple. I added three photos across the middle of the layout with minimal paper layers behind them. I added a few labels and a small embellishment cluster on each side of my photo cluster.

I added a large ‘Fright Night’ Perspextive by Bramble Fox for my title and also added some bats and a moon at the top. I finished off with sequins and a few stars.

For my second layout today, Bad Scare Day’ I cut up one of the patterned papers into the large stripes, trimmed the strips down a bit, distressed the edges and stuck them back onto a sheet of black cardstock. Can I just point out how BOTH my layouts today are not on white cardstock backgrounds!

I cut a bat unicorn cut file from black patterned paper from the Hey Pumpkin collection and backed parts of it with black card, white card and orange paper. I added this to the orange strip of my background.

I added my photo and embellishment cluster down to the bottom right of my layout and added lots of little bits from the ephemera and the chipboard. I also added my title ‘Bad Scare Day’ using the black and holographic silver Thickers from the Hey Pumpkin collection.

I finished off with splatters of black Indian Ink and I also added loads of sequins. I also added a few labels and embellishments tucked into my paper layers.

Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed these Halloween layouts…make sure you pick up your own stash of Crate Paper Hey Pumpkin becuase it is super fun to scrap with!

Happy scrapping xx
