Five Products Focus featuring Studio Calico Lemonlush
Hello, hello. I hope you’ve had the most amazing summer. Pretty soon, it will be time to pack that school bag. In the mean time, I have got summer layout inspirations for you. What could be more summery than Lemonlush from Studio Calico. This collection features a lot of butterflies and lemons. Perfect!
I ordered five products. Ok, the sequins are not strictly from the same range but I needed a pop of colours! What’s more, it is in the sale.
To these products, I added a sheet of gold foil paper, some Wow! glitter, embossing paste and stencils. What do you think ? Looks promising, right ?
I started by stencilling white embossing paste on background cardstock. On this one, I even shaked some glitter on whilst the paste is still wet. I rather like the white on white look which is perhaps not that visible on first sight but it does give a very nice texture to the page. The image produced by the stencil is also more crisp than if you were using paint. I am thinking those small fiddly stencils would be perfect for this treatment!
Whilst the background was drying, I also glittered some wood veneer lemons and some frames. I do this by applying PVA glue liberally and shaking glitter on top. Don’t the lemons look gorgeous ? I have saved a few for future layouts about a trip to Italy!
Once everything is dry, I made these layouts. My first features me “on a donkey” in Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Can you see my head popping through the board ? LOL. Mr G thinks it looked wrong. Never mind, it was fun! Let’s have a look at how I have used those five products.
Finally, let’s look at all three layouts in full.
That’s all lovelies. See you in September
