Feeling the love for My Minds Eye – My Story.

Hi there x Sheena here again.
This month I have for you 3 pages I’ve made using the My Minds Eye – My Story range. I was really taken with the colour combo of this range with its pinks, mustard & black with touches of gold & as hearts feature heavily on the papers & the embellishments I decided to follow that theme as my inspiration.
You Still Pull My Heart Strings.
I love this photo I took of my Hubby whilst out & about this summer.

I totally took the idea for this page from the MME paper. I drew out a love heart on the reverse of the cardstock , then pierced holes at regular intervals before sewing random lines using embroidery floss. It did take awhile to achieve this look but I’m pleased with it.

The photo is layered on various papers from the 6×6 pad plus a doily & flowers from the chipboard sheet. The mini butterflies were fussy cut from the 6×6 paper before attaching to the love heart.

To keep the heart as the focus I added my title, white on white & machine stitched it in place.
Next up a page featuring my Daughter & her boyfriend.
You Give Me Butterflies.

For this page I wanted to focus on the rich mustard colour in this range & used various 4×3 cards & papers from the 6×6 pad that co ordinated well together. One of the cards featured a mason jar so I decided to take the title literally & create a gift of butterflies.
I was given a WRMK Fuse Tool for my birthday recently so I thought it was about time I actually opened it & found out how it worked.

I put the jar & some fussy cut butterflies inside an old page protector on my glass cutting mat.

Rather than use the provided ruler, I used the Fuse to seal the plastic layers together by “drawing” around the jar free hand before trimming the excess plastic away with scissors.

I’m really pleased with the shaker style jar it’s created.
For my third & final page.
Love.

i backed the hearts of a silhouette die cut with lots of patterns taken from the 6×6 paper pad. I then adhered it slightly off to one side so the cardstock colour below could show a little.

I hand sewed over the word love to give it more definition before adding my photo with layers from the 6×6 paper pad & some ephemera. The page was finished with a few splatters of Heidi Swapp Colour Shine.
Many thanks for looking, I hope these inspire you to use this range which I just love.
