Favorite! – Crate Paper – Gingham Garden – Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here sharing a second layout using the gorgeous Gingham Garden Collection by Crate Paper. I just love this beautiful pastel collection and have almost split the collection in two to use all the pinks, creams and florals.
I had already chosen a photo to scrap and when I saw the 12×12 striped In the Shade paper I decided to split it into the pinks and creams as it co ordinated perfectly to our clothes! I tore three large strips in the pinks/cream and mustard yellow horizontally and then tore them vertically to give strips from top and bottom of the layout, I also used a strip from12x12 blooms paper. I distressed the edges and then sewed them onto the paper. I fussy cut co-ordinating coloured butterflies from the 12×12 Alight paper and tucked them into the strips.
I used a frame from the ephemera pack and offset it over the photo. Being a great lover of tags I cut out one from the 12×12 Be Kind paper and used one from the ephemera pack. I distressed their edges and placed them behind the photo to create a cluster. I added waxed string through them and tied into bows. I then fussy cut the Wonderful from the 12×12 Be Kind paper and tucked it in behind the torn paper strips at the top of the photo cluster.
I embellished around the photo using chipboard stickers, puffy stickers and of ephemera.
To finish off the layout I dotted around a few puffy sticker hearts and butterflies and added some journalling under the photo.
Do check out this beautiful collection, it is well worth a look.
Until next time … Happy Scrapping!
