Fall-ing for Cedar Lane by Pink Paislee

For my post this month I decided to scrap some autumnal photos. After a good look in the shop I chose some of the Pink Paislee Cedar Lane range to create with plus a few little extras that caught my eye.

I was totally attracted to the wonderful blues in these products and chose to layer them with the wood grain frames & embellishments in a vertical column. It’s not what I’d normally do but I quite like it.

I cut a few leaves from kraft cardstock and backed them with papers from the 6×6 pad.

What should you do when you love all the papers in a range ? make a background of them all.
I’ve used 9 papers from the 6×6 pad to decorate my background, only the acorn paper was cut with direction in mind. I’ve limited the embellishments around the photo because of the business of the background.

I loved cutting all the flowers from this sheet & wished I’d bought more than one.

For the title I used a Heidi Swapp Rub on foil kit. I stuck the word I wanted to cardstock before covering in the gold foil & rubbing it gently. The foil stuck well & then I trimmed it & popped it on foam on the page.

My final page was created to document the recent  Golden Wedding of my Folks.  I decided to use as much gold as I could to celebrate this wonderful achievement. The fabric tag with its gold embroidery is used as my title.

After adding some mist to the background paper using the packaging technique I rubbed some gold embossing paste through a heart stencil with my finger tip to give a subtle uneven look. These mediums made my paper buckle a little so I stitched it to some cardstock to help it stay flat.

I added gold centres to the flowers & also added a couple of table sequins from their “do” .The word stickers are old Crate Paper – Craft market  from my stash & have the most lovely phrases on them to suit this subject.
