Explore More Scrapbook Layout – Arden Creative Studio – Hidden Creek – Wendy Meffan
Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here sharing my second layout using Arden Creative Studio Hidden Creek Collection. I’m still loving all the colours and variety of ephemera available
We were lucky enough to go to the Maldives earlier this year and the island we chose was just beautiful. It had sandy roads and our transport was bicycles to travel around. It was a lovely experience cycling on a tropical island. I thas been on my to do list to document, and this collection is perfect!
I started my layout by tearing the news printed paper and created a vertical strip to the left side of the layout. I then tore another slim strip which I added to the opposite edge of the layout. I also tucked in a strip of the spotted paper to offer a contrast to the newsprint paper. In the Hidden Creek collection there are some gorgeous dies and I chose to use the Fern Valley Die set. I cut four ferns and added them over the printed ferns on the newsprint paper to give more dimension. I then added some laser cut embellishments.
Again I used multiple photos which I positioned on the page in a staggered pattern. Above the ferns I added more embellishments to the photo on the newsprint paper using the laser cuts and ephemera. I added a title using Explore More from the ephemera.
I then created a photo mat and cluster for the very right photo to balance the layout. I cut some more ferns from the patterned paper using the dies and tucked them in behind the photo. I added more laser cuts and ephemera pieces. I used sticky fixers to give extra dimension to some of the embellishments.
Finally I added another title using Doodlebug Alphabet Soup letters (available at Hey Little Magpie)
I have really loved using this brand new Collection and am really pleased with my layouts. Do take a look if you’ve not seen it over on the website.
Until next time … Happy Scrapping!
