Everything's Pink and Fresh….
Hello my magpie friends,
How are you all on this September morning? My layouts today are using the new collection Happy Things from Pink Fresh studio. I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this stuff from Pink Fresh Studio. If you haven’t seen this collection yet go and have a look now. Its got a very different vibe from some of the other stuff thats been released yesterday and it was lovely to work with something a bit different.
For my first layout I started off by adding some paint and texture paste to the white cardstock. There are some gorgeous new mixed media supplies in the shop at the minute that Heidi Swapp has released that would work perfectly for a layout like this. I cut some elements from the papers to use as my layers and added one of the 3×4 cards behind the picture. I stamped one of the ombre tags with words and a butterfly and added a wood shape behind the picture. The title is from the black foam Thickers that are also in the collection.
For my second layout I used the fabulous Doodle borders paper, which I covered in Heidi Swapp colour shine sprays. You could also colour this paper in using Copic or watercolours for a lovely effect.
I used some of the We Are Memory Keepers gold cheetah print acetate to back my picture. I added some puffy stickers and one of the rubber charms to the bottom right hand corner. These charms are awesome, lovely and dimentional. All the supplies from Pink Fresh are of excellent quality. The papers are lovely and thick and the colours are very vibrant. The hearts and wooden beads are from my stash. I finished off by using another of the black foam words as my title.
My 3rd layout uses the Botanicals paper – it has lots of pretty stars and sparkles on which make a great background.
I backed my picture using the Ombre Mosaic paper and the Triangles paper. I made a messy mat behind the picture using foam tape to add dimention to the layers. I attached one of the wood veneers to the picture. These are really fun and can be sprayed or coloured in to change the look up of them as well. I used the acetate triangles to direct your eye down towards the picture and some more puffy stickers. The plastic frames are from my stash.
For my last layout I used the Happy words paper that is currently out of stock and cut elements from it.
I added paint to the white cardstock behind the picture and some texture paste as well. I made some pink splatters with Heidi Swapp colour shine and coloured in the bird to match. I attached some of the acetate triangle and another one of the rubber charms. The hearts are from my stash.
Thank you all for visiting the blog today, see you all in October!
