Everyone Loves the Emoji's
Hi Magpies, Julie back with you again today & this month I got to play with the fab new collection ‘Emoji Love’ by Simple Stories. Well I can’t express enough emotion for this collection, it’s just FAB!!! I love it. There are some many small, cute embellishments to add to your pages & the colours are really bright & vibrant. Anyway enough of my chatter, on to the layouts.
My first layout is called ‘Emoji Love’. I had a text through from my hubby using emojis but the wrong ones so wanted to document that. I chose a cut file & backed it with some of the papers & added it to some ink splattered paper at an angle onto ‘yay paper’ also incorporating a yellow zip & I sewed around to two edges. I hand sewed around the edge of the cut file, with pink thread & the hearts in red thread. The mobile phone is another cut file & I printed the conversation & glued that to the cut file. I then added all manner of embellishments around the page to finish it off.
My second layout is actually a double page spread. I hardly ever do these but I had so many great photos that I thought it would be mad not to. My first page ‘BFF squad’ is using 5 of the photos. I again chose a cut file & cut it twice & added my photos to it just adding ‘lol’ into one space. I die cut the words fabulous, awesome & smile & put those behind the cut files. I ripped & rolled the ‘LOL paper’ & ‘be a unicorn’ paper & taped them to the top of the page & added a small cluster coming down from there. I then again finished the layout with mists, word stickers, brads, clear stickers, chipboard & stitching.
My final page is the second half of BFF squad but using a bigger photo & entitled ‘Seriously cray, CRAY’ which looking at this photo I’d say we are!! I added some mists & also a bit of texture paste. I layered up my photo on top of a mat of papers, doily, cut file & tags & added it to the right on top of another mat of papers. I made another paper cluster which I added to the left handside of the page, adding in some of the same elements. I then embellished with word stickers, die cuts, clear stickers & stitching. Some of the saying on this collection are just priceless… ‘just go with the flow’ & ‘I know right! So not normal’ just perfect for my page.
I’m sure all of you have some crazy photos you need to scrap & if you do just check out this collection, it’ll make you laugh just looking at it.
Until next time
