Echo Park Witches & Wizards | Jo Boland

Hey, it’s Jo here with another look at the Echo Park Witches & Wizards collection. Last time I shared a mini-book about a trip to the Harry Potter studio tour, you can find it here. This time I have two scrapbook layouts to share from that day. This collection, although not officially Harry Potter themed does a very good job with this theme. For these layouts I used the 12×12 Paper Collection Pack (but I’ll link the individual papers below) and the lightning strike stencil. The first layout documents our trip to the Harry Potter studio tour and how our youngest got to open the doors to the great hall because his birthday was two days later.

Scrapbook Layout 1

I used the lightning strike stencil from the collection on this layout and used a gold texture paste to create a band of lightning flashes (Harry Potter lightning scars) across the page.

I added a band of the b-side of the 3×4 journaling cards paper across the top and a cut out book border from the Spell Book paper.

The title card comes from the 4×6 journaling card paper and everything else has been fussy cut from other papers.

The banner has been fussy cut from the Banners paper and the owls from the Owl paper. I popped them up on foam pads to make them appear 3-dimenional.

The books, potion bottles, cauldron, hat and broom were fussy cut from the Something Magical paper. Again I popped up most of them on foam pads.

I fussy cut the Wizards Welcome banner from one of the Journaling paper.

I fussy cut little letters too, some from the Something Magical paper and some from the Letters paper. I also added the Happy Birthday badge Callum was given on the tour.

Scrapbook Layout 2

My second layout is a double page layout which gives me a place to store the ephemera and information we got on our visit. I fussy cut more of the banner from the Banner paper and used two strips the blue tartan side as well.

I cut two thin strips of the b-side of the Owl paper to go along the bottom edge and two fussy cut strips of the Letters paper. I left the top edge of the letters unstuck so I could tuck the passport behind it on the right page.

I also cut a slit into the cardstock to slide the leaflet into, adding a piece of cardstock on the back to house it.

I stuck the ticket envelope down and added a card from the 4×6 journaling paper next to it. You’ll see I fussy cut some more owls to fill in the white space.

Those little sticky pads on the envelope had our butterbeer tokens stuck to them.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope I’ve inspired you to check out the Echo Park Paper Co Witches & Wizards collection.
