Echo Park Paper – Craft Room | Jackie Ashton

Hi Jackie here sharing another layout using Echo Park Paper – Craft Room collection.

 

To begin, I trimmed white cardstock down to an 11” square, distressed the edge and added a hand-drawn pen border around the edges for a simple framed effect. The white cardstock was mounted onto patterned paper from the 12×12 paper pad, creating a colourful border that helps frame the entire design beautifully.

For the focal point, I backed my 4×4 photograph with patterned paper from the 6×6 paper pad. Using smaller scale prints behind the photo helps add contrast without overwhelming the image. I also added 3D foam adhesive underneath to lift the photograph off the page and create extra dimension.

To create the title area, I used one of the 6×4 cut-apart from this collection. I trimmed it down slightly so it would fit the design more neatly, then layered both the photograph and title piece onto additional patterned paper from the 12×12 paper pad. These layers help draw attention to the centre of the layout while adding depth and colour.

I included one of the journaling spots to record a few memories from the day, then finished the page with stickers, ephemera, and decorative brads scattered around the layout.

These final embellishments help tie everything together and add plenty of fun crafty detail across the page.
