Echo Park Let’s Take The Trip | Julie Taylor

Julie back with you again today sharing a layout using Echo Park Let’s Take The Trip. As you can probably tell from the name of the collection, this is a travel collection & is full of lovely muted colours.

I started by adding some stencilling in the form of a large compass & globe stencil, from my stash, to reiterate the travel theme, I chose Speckled egg Oxide ink for this as it’s a lovely light blue/grey colour which blends with the collection. I cut a 2.5″x12″ strip of Touring Transportation paper, tan map, & added it to the right hand edge, I followed this with a strip of the Discover & Explore Washi tape & then a scalloped piece using Tags For The Trip paper & Hey Little Magpie large doodle borders exclusive dies.

I then made up my photo cluster with chipboard pieces, stickers, 49 and Market tickets & another exclusive die cut piece, this time a compass & I added a couple of Washi tape postage stamps from the 49 and Market Wherever collection as these went perfectly with my subject.

To draw the eye to my photo I added a few stamped arrows from the Hey Little Magpie Directions stamps, these are new to the shop & just the right small accent to add, I can see me using these all the time.
