Echo Park – Craft Room Collection | Jackie Ashton

Hi Jackie here, sharing a layout using Echo Park – Craft Room collection.  Creating this layout was such a fun way to document one of my favourite crafty traditions.

The gorgeous Echo Park Craft Room collection to put together this scrapbook page, inspired by the April 2026 PageMaps sketch.

Although the original sketch featured ten photographs, I decided to simplify the design and focus on one 6×4 photo instead. I love how adapting sketches can completely change the feel of a page while still keeping the original inspiration visible.

For the background detail, I added a handstitched design down the left side of the layout using a stitching template from Hey Little Magpie. The stitching adds lovely texture and draws your eye straight into the page. I always think stitching gives scrapbook layouts that extra handmade touch, and it worked perfectly with the crafty feel of this collection.

To help the photo stand out, I backed the 6×4 photograph with several layers of patterned papers taken from the 6×6 paper pad.

The bright, creative patterns in the Craft Room collection were perfect for capturing the happy atmosphere of a day spent crafting with friends.

I also used a lovely acrylic word title from Hey Little Magpie, which felt especially fitting for this layout. It has become a bit of a tradition for me to take a selfie with the craft group in the background whenever we get together, so this title really summed up the memory behind the photo.

To finish the page, I scattered brads and stickers around the layout for a final pop of detail and texture. They tied everything together beautifully and added just the right finishing touch.
