Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas

Hi Magpies, Jackie here and yes I’ve been scrapping Christmas in October, I just couldn’t resist the new Christmas collections that are in the shop at the moment.  I ended up choosing 3 different collections, but I’ve only used one Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas for this post, but know my 2018 Christmas album is going to be a complete mixture of them all.
For my blogpost this month I’m using Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – which as the traditional red and green, but also as kraft featuring on a few of the papers as well as some of the embellishments.  I love that kraft colour is making a come back to the scrapping industry, I used to use kraft cardstock all the time.
Joy

Using a 3 of the patterned papers from Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – Cold Outside paper, Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – Here Comes Santa paper  and Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – No Peeking paper, adding some tags from Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – Tags and Frames

I added some stamped phases from Elle’s Studio – Everyday Phases Stamp Set and Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas Enamel Dots.

Merry & Bright

For a different look, I used black cardstock as my base for this layout., which works well with this collection.
I add a piece of Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – Holly Jolly Paper measuring 4 x 12 down the centre of my cardstock, and added a 1”x12” from Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – Christmas Countdown paper, To add some texture I ripped down the right-hand side of both these papers. and added some hand-stitching detail to the left-hand side.

I added chipboard snowflakes/circle shapes from Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – Chipboard Accents and Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – Chipboard Phases.
For the title I used puffy stickers from Crate Paper – Merry Days Puffy Thickers.

Birthday Wishes

Using black cardstock as my base, and added a strip of Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – Here Comes Santa paper, and border punched a strip of Echo Park – Celebrating Christmas – Holly Jolly paper, added my photograph to a simple matt of patterned papers from this collection, and used some of the mini word stickers from my stash from Simple Stories.

For my title I used a phase from Crate Paper – Merry Days – Puffy Thickers and some thickers from my stash.

Love these little puffy camera  stickers from Freckled Fawn, which just add a little extra detail to my clusters, along side the Echo Park – Celebrating christmas – Brads.

I love this collection and will be adding what I have left to my Christmas 2018 album.  Don’t forget to share your Christmas layouts and Christmas albums with us on our Facebook page, we would love to see them.
