Dream On by Pinkfresh Studio
Hi Magpies, Niki here with you today, sharing five layouts make with the Dream On collection by Pinkfresh Studio. This collection is so pretty with a soft and subtle colour palette which makes for dreamy and beautiful layouts. I bought the collection pack so I had all the papers twice and quite a lot of the embellishments: cardstock die-cuts, Gold Acrylic Mirror Stickers, Layered Chipboard Stickers, Leatherette Shape Stickers, Puffy Alpha Stickers, Puffy Stickers, Rubber Chips and the Washi Stickers.
For my first layout I used a cut file by Just Nick. I backfilled the large circle with one of the Pinkfresh Dream On papers. I then mounted this on white cardstock but firstly drew around the edge of the cut out lightly in pencil and applied some soft colour using water colour paints. I added flicks of the same colours. I then added my cut out and mounted the whole layout on the same pink paper print to give it a border. I then added my photo and added embellishments in two areas. The title came from the Cardstock Die-cuts pack. I really love the Pinkfresh Studio embellishments because they are all different textures – rubber, puffy, leatherette and mirrored – these really add lots of texture and dimension to my layouts.
For my second layout, Delightful, I again used a cut file by Just Nick, butterflies this time. I chose one of the subtle / lightly patterned papers for my background (instead of white cardstock, shock!) and added colour to this using inks mixed with some water. I pressed the colour onto the layout using the packaging technique and then added my cut file raised on foam pads. I then added my photo and added just a few embellishments.
For this next layout Make Life Happen, I went for a block style as I wanted to use some of the lovely journaling cards that were on one of the papers. I cut out the ones I wanted to use and arranged them in a grid onto my layout. I dont like things to be too perfect so deliberately left my photo taller than the grid. This allowed me to build up the embellishment on the right side of the grid to balance that. I cut lots of fine flowers on my Silhouette, again using a Just Nick cut file and backfilled a few of them with pink paper, and I also just left some as they were. I layered these up at the bottom of my grid and added embelishments.
For this layout Dream Big, I took the border background paper and added paint in the same colours as the dots. Without the coloured on the background it didn’t work as a border so by adding the colour it looks great. The Dream Big is a cut file, as are the very fine flowers on the background, (both Just Nick). I backfilled the letters using papers from the Dream On collection and added my flowers to my background. They get a bit lost in the picture becuase they are white flowers against a white background but in real life they look really beautiful. I coupled my photo with a lovely journaling card and added flicks and embellishments to my layout.
For my final layout ‘fingers on’ I picked out all the green and blue tones in the collection and built a large layer in the top right area. I added the Wild and Free journaling card and continued adding all the blue and green embellishments. The title is made with the Puffy Alphabet stickers – what a fab font.
Thank you so much for checking out my layouts. I’ve used the Dream On collection by Pinkfresh Studio and at the time of writing this all items in the collection are in stock, so go grab them quick before they go!
Happy scrapping xx
