Document December – Part 3
Hello and welcome back to my mini-series on ‘Documenting December’. You can see Part 1 – the foundation pages here and Part 2 – Days 1 to 6 here. In this, the final part I will share with you my full complete album. You may notice if you look back at the previous two posts that I went back and changed a few things, either swapped patterned paper or the odd embellishment here and there to create a more cohesive look. OK, grab a cup of tea or a mug of coffee and lets begin at the beginning…
The little envelope (an old Fancy Pants one I had in my stash) contains scanned copies of the boys letters to Santa. Cute huh?
Yes, that’s a handmade bauble with strips of the Shimelle ‘Wrapping Paper’ (b-side) patterned paper inside. The boys and I also made snow globe baubles with mini bottle brush trees by Fancy Pants and fake snow!
I loved the effect of the light string I’d used on Day 5 and decided to use it again for Christmas Day. The green in the collection wasn’t doing it for me so I replaced the green bulbs with blue enamel dots from my stash.
I added an old brad from my stash into the centre of the wreath on the Simple Stories truck, love the extra dimension it gives.
Finally I adhered another envelope (from my stash) to the back cover of my album, this one contains a list of presents received and presents given.
So that’s it, another December documented and it’s a big one. I already have ideas for my 2016 album, about what type of album (smaller maybe 4×6) and colour scheme (love red and blue together), but don’t worry I’m not going to be starting that for a long time. I’m definitely ready to move on to new projects and to catch up on Project Life!
This project is based on December Daily, a project conceived by Ali Edwards. The main supplies are from the Simple Stories ‘Claus & Co’ collection (including the album) and the Shimelle ‘Christmas Magic’ collection plus several other 2015 Christmas collections (see previous posts in this series for details). I also added bits and pieces from past Christmas collections too, couldn’t let them go to waste! If there’s anything you spot that you’d like more information on please ask in the comments.
