Do Not Open Until Dec 25th | Hard Candy Christmas Simple Stories | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, I have a flippity flap kind of layout to share today, documenting a December story using the super colourful ‘Hard Candy Christmas‘ collection from Simple Stories (available in store now). Starting with 3 tags (3×5.5 inches appprox) cut from patterned paper then backed with white cardstock.
To lift the tags I have created little tabs using the same ribbon as I did to wrap the gifts that I am documenting. To secure them in place, I sandwich the ribbon in-between the patterned paper & white cardstock then machine stitched around the edge of each tag.
I then layered the tags on top of each other, slightly staggered, & adhered them to my page with red line tape. On the reverse side of the tags I added my photos.
Using the ephemera packs ‘Bits & Pieces’ & ‘Journal Bits’ I embellished the front of my tags & the full page photo. I used the snow globe as a journaling spot which I placed underneath the bottom tag.
To finish, & to add a little sparkle I hand stitched in gold embroidery thread over the asterisk shapes within the patterned paper. How are you documenting this Christmas? Be sure to share your stories with us over on the Hey Little Magpie Facebook group!
