Hi Magpies, wow! can you believe its June already – half the year gone and nearly 3 months spent in Lockdown. I still find it hard to believe that we have all stayed inside our houses for nearly 3 months and only going out for essentials.
So whats better way whilst having all that extra time on your hands to scrap, so glad we have this great hobby to keep us going and get our photographs documented. As a scrapbooker I can’t overlook why is happening around me during this situation. so I decided to put together a Lockdown album, I’ve shared a few pages on my IG account, and no doubt will be sharing a few more on here. As I normally do 12×12 layouts, I decided to do 9×12 format.
This month I’m using the wonderful travel collection from Simple Stories – Going Places – collection. Once again Simple Stories have manufactured a different colourway with this collection, and included some lovely bright tones as well as these lovely foam word stickers
Discover & Escape …
So in lockdown me and James have been enjoying going on our daily walks together, and this day we visited the nearby woods. It was so quiet and peaceful just walking around and generally just being out and about for an hour.
I started by add some inked details using the Simple Stories – Going Places – Geo Tags Stencil, down the left side of the cardstock – so that its visible at the top and bottom of the patterned paper.
For the background I used one sheet of patterned paper from the 6×8 Pad, its hard to see the detail but it as a map design on.
I added simple layers of patterned paper under my two photographs, and mounted one with 3D foam to given it some more definition on the page.
I added two of the words from the Foam Sticker Sheet, and some green alpha stickers from the Color Vibe Alpha book.
To finish the layout I added chipboard, puffy stickers, and word strips from the collection.
This collection is great not only for you to document your previous holidays, but also to document what you are doing now.
