Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day Collection
Hi everyone, Jackie here, I hope you are enjoying the lovely weather, and had a lovely Easter.
This month I’ve chosen the lovely collection by Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day, this is another collection that has a mixture of styles within the one collection, including black & white prints that if you wish you could colour in.
I will start my layouts this month with this one “Let’s Go to Paris’ as I’m off to Paris for the 1st time, and so looking forward to it.
Let’s Go to Paris
I used the lovely Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – Amour paper, which is so appropriate for this layout as french words over it. I added some colour to the background, using water colour paints.
I cut apart the Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – Tag your it Paper, and chose 3 of the tags to use. Adding my journalling to one of the tags, using my typewriter, and Kelly Purkey alphabet stamps to form the beginning of my title for the page.
Layering the photograph with some patterned papers from the Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – 6×6 pad. The main title I cut on my silhouette cameo, adding to the bottom of my page.
At the top right of the page, I’ve added a banner from the Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – Tag Your It paper and a few of the stickers from Accents and Phase Sticker sheet and finish it the page off with a few Pink Fresh Studio – The Mix – Enamel shapes.
My 2nd layout, I’ve done as a 9×12 size, and used 3 small photographs – ‘Bristol Bound’.
For the background I used Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – More Play paper, with a strip of Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – Off We Go paper, I border punched along the length of Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – Dreamer paper, and added the manufactures strip with the row of hearts.
I layered the photographs using the 6×6 pad, and 3d mounted the middle photographs for added dimension. I added some hidden journalling under the middle photographs, again using my typewriter.
I added some Pink Fresh enamel shapes and word stickers, Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – Accent stickers, a Hey Little Magpie Flair Badge, as well as using the Pink Fresh Studio Clear Stamps, Where Next.
For the title I used Freckled Fawn Puffy Alphabets.
For my final layout this month, I wanted to use a chipboard word.
You’re So Cool I’m not even Mad
For this layout I started by added some colour to my white background, in the colours from the chipboard piece I was using.
Then I got carried away with layering my photograph so only a small part of the colours can be seen, but never mind, I’m happy how it turned out.
I then layered the photographs onto pattered paper from the 6×6 pad, adding stickers from the Accent sheet. I added two strips of pattered papers to the left hand side and machined stitched them down.
I finished the page with Pink Fresh Studio Enamel shapes and Hey Little Magpie Flair badges.
Hope you like how I’ve used this collection, and give it a try.
