Delightful Days, Simple Stories Linen Market | Julie Taylor
Hello Magpies & welcome back to the blog.
Julie here with you today & I’m sharing a layout made using a sketch & the lovely collection Simple Vintage Linen Market by Simple Stories.
I saw this sketch while looking through Instagram, it’s by Jessica Michaels, & thought I’d give it a go. Sketches are a great go to when your mojo has took a dip & I love how everyone interprets them differently.
I started with a sheet of white cardstock & cut it down to 11×11 & rounded the corners & added it onto the blue patterned paper. I cut 3 patterned paper strips, 3×8, & rounded each corner & machined sewed around all the edges.
I positioned the strips across my page & before securing down I added some of the rub ons in various places to add some interest.
I secured the strips & built up my photo cluster onto the first & middle strips adding in die cuts, chipboard, tags & stickers.
I’ve added the title onto the third strip, using a chipboard tag, foam sticker & card sticker & an old school eyelet to thread my twine through.
Thanks for joining me today & I hope I have given you some inspiration to use a sketch to kick start your creativity & thank you to Jessica Micheals for this great sketch that helped my creativity!!!
Until next time,
