December Memories | Morag Cutts

Hi there friends.  I hope you have had a good Christmas.  It has certainly been quieter than usual but I do hope you have managed to see your loved ones even if it has been online. On my last post, I had started a December album and I have a few pages completed and a few new pages to share.

I have used the lovely Jingle All the Way collection by Simple Stories for most of the album, but have sprinkled a little Vintage North Pole also by Simple Stories, here and there.

I had already decorated this page so it was simple to add a photo of this huge box of chocolates from my Hubby’s work. It was such a surprise!

I’ve made a really simple pocket on this page by adhering paper on 3 sides.  To top off the pocket, I decorated it with stickers from the Jingle All the Way Sticker Book. Inside this pocket is another pocket created from an envelope. It’s a great time of year to collect those fancy envelopes from our cards.

I’ve added stickers from the 12×12 Cardstock Stickers.

Don’t forget to collect the ribbons from your packages.  This red and green check ribbon matched the collection perfectly.

You can see more of the pages from my album below – click on the picture below to see the full size photos.

We have updated some of our Christmas decorations this year.  I used Simple Vintage North Pole collection to on this layout.

The collection has beautiful layered stickers which inspired me to create my own layers.

The chipboard frame set make it so easy to add a wow to your photos.  I have layered the frame over a banner cut from 6×8″ paper pad and also made a tag which is fabulous to layer stickers from the 12×12 Sticker sheet.  It’s good to mix up your embellishments – I’ve tucked in the brads and mixed in the foam stickers

To create a border at the top of the page, I layered up papers, stickers and brads.

I love the way the Ho Ho Ho sticker from the 12 x 12 sticker sheet – it adds movement to the banner.  You can see above that I have used a small envelope I received as a photo matt.

To balance out the page, I also added a banner to the bottom  – I cut this banner to simulate an envelope flap before adding a button and stickers.

I wish you all a Happy New Year! Let’s hope that 2021 brings better things.
