Dear Lizzy – She’s Magic – Kay Hall
Hi Magpies! I’ve been working with this lovely bright summery collection again! I love this rainbow paper called Stay Tuned!
I used a Silhouette cutfile and used the negative cut. I wanted to be able to see the rainbow paper through the words.
I added some distress ink to my cardstock using the packaging technique and then used a black pen to doodle around my title words and make them stand out.
After adding my photo and some tickets from the Round Trip sheet I added some of the Confetti word stickers I’ve found these stickers really useful and love the colours. I tore a section of paper at the bottom to reveal a little bit more of the lovely rainbow paper before adding more black pen around the word stickers and the edge of my cardstock.
To add a little more detail I added a few enamel dots and then the 2020 stickers from my stash.
Sometimes I struggle to use papers when they are so bold so I was pleased to be able to use this and still see the design by using the negative from the cutfile. As one of my first layouts for 2020 I’m glad I managed to start the year off with such a bright and colourful happy paper!
My second favourite paper from this collection is the super cute Kind Heart paper. I used additional strips of left over papers and mounted it onto dark blue cardstock. Again this paper is very bold so it was challenging for me but I think mounting it onto cardstock and inking the edge helped to make it work.
After adding my mounted photo I used more of the Confetti stickers, some pompom trim and the Stay Tuned Foiled Alphabet Thickers for my title. A little doodling with a white pen and my layout was complete!
