Daydream Part 2 | Cocoa Vanilla | Morag Cutts
Hi there friends. I’m back with Cocoa Vanilla’s DayDream collection. I have enjoyed working with the pretty flowers and the colours are so gorgeous.
Our Happy
The pretty flowers in this collection cry out for fussy cutting! To make the border, I started at the top of the white cardstock. I applied watercolour paint and spritzed with water to let the colour run slightly. I repeated this across the page to build up some colour. Next I used a background stamp to lightly stamp and add a bit more detail.
Next I tore a strip of the Sun Shower paper and curled the edges. I matched up the bottom of the with Daisy Days.
On to the fussy cutting! I do love to fussy cut so I cut out those fabulous flower clusters from the Garden Variety paper.
To really bring the flowers to life, I layered the foliage from the Pebbles The Avenue Puffy Gold Foil Leaves
Did you notice that I also added in some ephemera from Maggie Holmes Marigold ephemera pack? The colours co-ordinate so well with this colleciton.
Gather
I went for a completely different look on this layout. I used Distress Ink (Worn Lipstick) as a water colour. I dragged a medium paintbrush across the page. I then stamped using the same colour for a little detail.
I fussy cut the rainbow from the Happy Place paper. I have fussy cut some of the trees and houses from Pebbles The Avenue – Seventh Avenue paper.
The colours in the DayDream collection really co-ordinate with the Pebbles The Avenue.
The Avenue 6×12 Stickers have so many cute elements including this cafe sticker. The vellum butterfly is from the Marigold Ephemera pack.
Well I hope you have enjoyed the Cocoa Vanilla DayDream collection as much as I have. It blends so well with the Maggie Holmes Marigold collection and Pebbles The Avenue.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
