Cutie Pie | Lovely Lane Paige Evans | Emma Kate

Hey Magpies, I’d like to show how you can take a simple shape like a heart & turn it into something more eye catching. I began by cutting a heart from the ‘Through My Lens’ paper, placing it on top of white cardstock I draw around the heart in pencil so that I could get the placement right before cutting the heart in half.

One half of the heart I adhered in place the other I discarded. I then used lots of florals from both the ‘Floral Ephemera’ pack & fussy cut flowers from the ‘Smile & Laughter’ paper to fill in the missing half.

I felt that the left hand side of the heart was fading into the background so I decided to hand stitch around its edge. I used 3 strands of embroidery thread in a coordinating olive colour.

Next I added my two 3×4 inch photos, then my ‘Cutie Pie’ title using the ‘Puffy Alphas’. There was an odd gap between the top of my right photo & the title so I filled it with a sentiment from the ‘Cardstock Stickers’.

I wanted to bring in a little more green to my layout so decided to mount my whole page on to the ‘Happy Together’ paper, giving my page a green boarder. To finish I added a sprinkling of gems & sequins.

Until next time, much love,

Em xxx
