Cute ‘N Crafty – Simple Stories – Crafty Things – Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! It’s Wendy here and I’m sharing my third layout using Simple Stories Crafty Things Collection. This is such a gorgeous pastel coloured collection and is perfect for me documenting photos with crafty friends. I went to Luxembourg with Niki and Kirei and met Lisa Fonseca and Shara Crane for a scrapbooking retreat. We had some lovely photos taken which worked perfectly with this collection.

To start my layout I used the 12×12 Cute and Happy and This Right Here papers, I cut several strips to use across the layout. I used both sides of the paper Cute and Happy. I distressed the edges and then adhered them to the white card stock in three groups. I matted my photo with a piece of floral paper from the 6×8 paper pad. I then cut the planner piece from the 12×12 Journal Elements paper. I positioned this photo mat across the centre of the middle set of paper strips.

I fussy cut the bow paper clip and floral sewing frame and added them with some floral ephemera to the edge of the planner piece.

I added floral clusters along all the paper strips and added some extra fussy cut elements from the 6×8 paper pad.

To create my title of Cute ‘ Crafty I fussy cut the Cute letters from the 12×12 3×4 Elements sheet and the  Crafty from the 6×8 paper pad . i distressed all the edges and raised them on sticky fixers for extra dimension on the page.

Finally I added a few tiny floral ephemera flowers and some gold paint splatters.
