Cute girl…

Sometimes I simply can’t stop scrapping with a collection and Cute Girl by Crate has done just that!
Whether its the classic teal, pink and yellow combo that I’ve fallen for, or because it’s so totally girly and I have three adorable step-daughters, I’m smitten by Cute Girl…

Let’s Just Sleep features a cut file that I backed with 6 x 6″ paper. I have recently been saving calligraphy that inspires me on Pinterest – if you have a cameo then you can simply drag it onto your page and trace it! Hey presto, a cut file!

I then used a selection of stickers, chipboard and ephemera… those girly girls are so cute.
The photo is of my youngest step-daughter Nina, taken having just awoken after an afternoon nap… too much partying and not enough sleep on our holiday this Summer was the cause of her Nanna nap!

And then of course in the totally random way that I adore Crate for, you get a cluster of teepees as a sticker.

Be-you-tiful is another cut file that I created from a saved calligraphy pin.

This time I kept the cut-out and once I’d painted the background, I re-inserted it

I’d love to say I hand cut those butterflies, but I didn’t!

A unicorn, roller skates and a balloon cluster – gotta embrace Crate’s random elements…

Hey Girl is a layout scrap lifted from a layout by Julie – thanks Julie for the inspiration!

The simple chevron cut file is backed with a selection of 6 x 6″ papers – lots of stitching and the borrowing of a fabulous huge date stamp.

Some of the elements are an intense black and really looked out of place so I decided to apply a bit of white acrylic paint with my finger to soften them.
And lastly a bit of dip dyed ribbon to attach to either end of the banner word.

Adorable ended up being a really simple layout to create…

Some ripped 6 x 6″ pieces of paper and swathes of colour co-ordinating paint, along with a couple of word stickers and a bit of stitching for interest and this layout did justice to the photo – my middle step-daugher Caitlin xxx

My last layout (and yes it is number five!) was scrap lifted from Claire.

You may recognise it as her layout based on an advert from our challenge weekend?
I loved her idea and her layout, so created a mini swing for one of the dolls to sit on!

I have loved creating every minute of scrapping with Cute Girl – it’s so easy to use…
